Privacy Protection Statement
The Data Protection Act 2001, regulates the processing of personal information which could either be retained electronically or manually within the Department.

According to this Act, every individual has the right to know what personal information the Ministry holds about himself/herself and how this information is being collected, used and updated. Each individual also has a right to be provided access to this information, as long as a request is sent to the Ministry's Data Protection Controller. Such a request, should be accompanied by proper proof of identification such as photocopies of the Identity Card or Passport. The Ministry commits to process such a request as soon as possible.

If it transpires that the information held by the Ministry is incorrect or expired, a claim could be raised to amend or even dispose of this information.
