ESF Community Initiative Programme EQUAL
Funded by the ESF, EQUAL tests new ways of tackling discrimination and inequality experienced by those in work or those looking for a job. The key principals of EQUAL are: transnational co-operation, innovation, empowerment, thematic and partnership approach, dissemination and mainstreaming to ensure that EQUAL informs policies and practice, with its activities closely linked to the Guidelines of the European Employment Strategy. EQUAL has five separate Measures for Employability, Entrepreneurship, Equal Opportunities, and Asylum Seekers.EQUAL has six separate Measures for Employability, Entrepreneurship, Equal Opportunities, and Asylum Seekers, in addition to two separate Measures for Technical Assistance under the EQUAL Programme.
